It's a new year and I'm thinking about resolutions. Most of us make them -- and break them eventually. When you think about it, resolutions are essentially goals. Like many other businesses, ASI's year-end tasks included goal-setting and planning for the coming year. It's an exercise that reminds me and the team of how much we were able to accomplish in 2016 and it's when we examine new opportunities -- which I'm always excited to do.
I'm thrilled to share three of the ASI team's key initiatives below and will share more info on these and other ASI deliverables in the coming months.
There's no doubt that 2017 is sure to be a year of opportunity and change. What will not change is our commitment to provide the highest caliber solutions and service to you, our client. Thank you for choosing ASI. We look forward to serving you in 2017.
Smartphones have become handheld computers in their own right, with faster processing speeds and the ability to handle power-intensive applications. Business owners recognize that they are also the primary and preferred communications devices for both business and personal communications. ASI is responding to this mobile technology evolution by providing secure mobile access to ASI Mobile from Android and IoS-enabled smartphones. For our records center and shredding clients, this eliminates the need to purchase and/or use proprietary mobile scanning devices.
Another exciting 2017 initiative is the expansion of ASI solutions to serve the medical waste industry. The year 2016 saw shred companies and some records centers broadening their services to include medical waste transport and disposal. The announcement, in July 2016, of the Medical Waste Management Association (MWMA) launch and the MWMA joint conference with NAID reflects this trend. Look for more details on the ASI Medical Waste Module at the upcoming NAID and PRISM International expos.
A key factor - if not THE key factor - for ASI's growth and success through the years is its commitment to exceed client expectations. This includes partnering with clients to determine how best to accommodate existing or potential customer requirements (see R4 Services Case Study). With another such initiative currently underway, I am confident the resulting deliverable will benefit ASI clients by providing additional solutions for working with your customers.
For those times when you're creating a "‘one-time" invoice and want to insert the invoice date rather than the date the invoice is created - no worries.
The ASI development team listened and added this enhancement in 2016, making invoicing even easier.
