New Veri-Shred setting for Rebuilding Service Orders

A new setting can be found on the Scanning tab in General Settings that will allow you to save all reconciled information when rebuilding a day.  This includes any items that have been marked billable with a ‘+’ sign and have a count greater than 0.  Select Rebuilt Service Order Recorded Activity Preservation Default to save all reconciled activity every time you Rebuild a Service Order list.  Select Prompt to Preserve Rebuilt Service Order Recorded Activity to be asked if you want to preserve the activity each time you Rebuild a Service Order list.

For nearly a year now, we’re reminded daily of the difficult economic climate in the United States and globally. If you manage to occupy yourself with other, perhaps more positive thoughts, they’ll be quickly swept away by any newscast (CNN anyone?) where every 60 seconds or so, more dire economic news is delivered. Record unemployment, long established companies filing for bankruptcy, home foreclosures….the list goes on.

While it is true that many businesses have found themselves between the proverbial rock and a hard place, it is encouraging to see that, for many of us in the records and information management business, we’re doing okay. As for Andrews Software, Inc., business has been brisk and we remain profitable. We are seeing more software installations and SQL server upgrades, which is also an indication of positive movement in the industry. I’d like to take a moment to thank you, our customer, for your continued business and for your referrals, which are a significant factor in our ability to continue to successfully navigate these difficult economic waters.

Also encouraging is that many of our customers report that business is doing as well as previous years, if not a bit better. For those whose numbers are a bit sluggish, we work with them on payment plans as needed. ASI has always maintained a collaborative relationship with our clients and this is part of that commitment to work with our customers as a business partner, not just as a vendor. We’ll continue to do so – during the good times and the bad times – which will hopefully be soon past, although certainly not forgotten.

How to Motivate Yourself in 60 Seconds

Economy got you down?  Making quota looks unlikely?  Don’t despair.  If you’re not at the top of your game, you can re-motivate and re-energize by asking yourself the following five questions:

QUESTION #1: Do I have an unrealistic timetable?
Explanation: Success is usually achieved one step at a time and big successes usually take longer than small successes.
Fix: Be patient with yourself and resist the temptation to compare your progress to that of others.

QUESTION #2: Am I truly committed?
Explanation: if you’re going to be successful, you need to be willing to do whatever it takes (within legal and ethical bounds, of course!).
Fix: Banish any thought of giving up before you accomplish your objective.  Just do it.

QUESTION #3: Do I have too many discouraging influences?
Explanation: If you hang around with people who are highly critical or who are doing very little in their own lives, your energy and enthusiasm will be drained.
Fix: Decide to surround yourself with people who support and believe in you.  Then do it.

QUESTION #4: Am I preparing to succeed?
Explanation: If you’re not improving your sales skills and business acumen, you’re gradually losing your edge.
Fix: Take a step to learn something that will help you accomplish your goal.  Buy a book or a tape, or set yourself up to network with highly successful people in your field.

QUESTION #5: Am I truly willing to fail?
Explanation: In most cases, you will encounter setbacks before you finally succeed.
Fix: Decide that failure is an unavoidable yet vital component in your quest for success.

The Carrot Principle

Kudos go to Tana Schaad and Richard Warren whose praises were recently sung by ASI customers for the outstanding support they received from Tana and Richard respectively.

Tana, for putting forth the extra effort after-hours to help resolve a problem for Charles from Midway Document Destruction. Charles was extremely appreciative and impressed with the amount of time Tana was willing to spend outside of the normal business day to answer questions and ensure the issue was taken care of.

Richard, for helping Corrigan Records Management successfully manage a six million file relocation. As daunting a task as it was, Chris Rauch was impressed with Richard's attention to detail and professionalism.
