Tana's Tech Tip

VCK Tip:
Staged File Lookup

If you weren't able to attend the ASI Users Seminar held Sept 12-13 in Cleveland, here's an example of one of the VCK tips ASI Support Specialist Brian Chivers shared during his session entitled "VCK Hidden Treasures & Tips "

Use the VCK Staged File Lookup to add efficiency to the sort process for multiple files within Files Staging area.

This useful function enables a user to enter a file barcode in the staging area to determine the box barcode from which it came and where the box currently resides.

An activity scan record of LOOKUP is also added each time a file is recorded within the utility.

ASI Seminar Scores T.O.P.S. Marks
Scott Bidwell, President/COO

Thank you to all who attended this year's ASI Users Seminar and contributed to its great success. The event brought together nearly 40 attendees for two intensive days of RIM-centric education and networking. With a focus on how ASI's software solutions drive “T.O.P.S.” performance, attendees came away smarter, more connected, and better equipped to gain the most from their ASI software solutions.

Mary Frein of National Records Mgmt &
ASI Support Specialist Brian Chivers

Attendees soaked up industry-specific knowledge that could only be received from an all-star lineup of experts, including Lori Palmer, Executive Vice President of  REB Storage Systems, Int'l , Ray Barry, President of  Total Training Services , Bob Haskins, CEO of  Gigabiter LLC , Donald Drapeau, President of  Shred Right  and Eric Haas, President/CEO of  A.R.M.S. Inc .

Featured speakers and industry experts
Ray Barry, Total Training Solutions and Bob Haskins, Gigabiter

The sessions promised high-quality content – and did not disappoint! Of course, ASI solutions content featured prominently as well, with QA Manager Tana McAtee, VP of Sales Jim Macmillan, Support Manager Dave Campion and Support Specialist Brian Chivers delivering top-notch sessions revealing the newest ASI software enhancements and best practices. While you will have missed the detailed presentation info, you'll find pdf's of some of these informative sessions on the ASI Users Seminar page of our website.

I'd also like to recognize Tana McAtee for her tireless work and attention to detail as we pulled this year's event together. She's the consummate professional and our resident “Superwoman,” soon-to-be “Supermom!”

For you RIM rock stars who were at this year's event: Thank you for dedicating your valuable time and resources to our event. While the Seminar may be over, we hope that the skills you've learned and connections you've made will stay with you. We're glad you're part of the ASI user community. If you weren't able to be there this time, don't worry: We're pumped to do it again in 2014!

ASI Users Seminar Rocks in Cleveland

On September 12th and 13th, the real rock stars weren't at Cleveland's Rock-n-Roll Hall of Fame. They could be found at the ASI Users Seminar, when RIM rock stars from around the globe converged at the Hyatt Regency in Cleveland for ASI's RIM-centric learning event.

For two days, attendees representing the best-of-the-best records and information management, and shredding companies received customized training in the ASI Computer Lab and attended engaging, in-depth educational sessions from industry leaders.

It wasn't all work and no play, however. Attendees enjoyed networking with the ASI team and other ASI users and experts throughout the Seminar, particularly during Tuesday's “Unbowlievable!” dinner event.

For more info and pics of this year's ASI Users Seminar visit the ASI website. And thanks to all who helped make this year's ASI Users Seminar a T.O.P.S. event!
